Please find all of your tasks and activities for the week below. Please let us know if you need anything to help you, such as a workbook to put all of your work in. Thank you for sharing the work you have been doing at home, it is wonderful to see how hard you are working!

English
Monday – Today we are comparing the pigs and the wolf in the story of The Three Little Pigs. Can you draw the characters and write about how they are the same and how they are different. For example, what they look like, how they behave and what they do in the story.
Tuesday – your writing today is part of our RE work. Please see the RE section below.
Wednesday – In Forest School yesterday we made stars out of little sticks. You can make one too! find some short twigs and sticks and tie them together with wool to make a star. Attach a loop so that you can hang it up. Today we will be reading a story called ‘Follow the star’ all about the star which led to wise men to Bethlehem. You can find a picture of a beautiful star if your grown up at home finds one on the internet to share with you. In your book, can you describe the star you made and the stars in the sky. See how many amazing words you can come up with the describe stars.
Thursday – Which is your favourite character in the story of The Three Little Pigs? Why? can you write and tell me?
Friday – Choose some important or tricky words from the story and try to learn to spell them. For example – huff, puff, house, wolf, straw, sticks, bricks etc. You can play game to learn how to spell each word too – maybe even play ‘teachers’ with an adult at home to see if they can learn the words too!

This week we are talking about things that are living and things that are non-living. Please share and talk about the PowerPoint Sorting Living Things and Non-Living Things Powerpoint together.
RE
Your writing activity for Tuesday is part of our RE work all about your role in our Nativity play this year. What part are you playing in our nativity? Can you draw a picture and write about your costume and what you have to do in the Nativity play. Why was the person you play important in the Christmas story? What did they do that made them special to baby Jesus? You could also write about what you remember about the Christmas story and what happened too.

Design Technology
This week we are writing a recipe for a fruit salad that we would like to make. What fruits would you like to put in a fruit salad? How would you prepare it? What would you need? Can you write some instructions so that I know how to make it!
Spellings
Your spellings for the week will be posted on the school website on Thursday morning so please look out for them later in the week.
Homework
Your homework for the next two weeks is to learn some traditional Christmas carols ready for our school Christingle. You can find these in the ‘homework’ post on the school website which was published on Monday 30th November.
