Also many thanks to Mollie Croxon, the North Shropshire School Games Organiser, for such a great year of events.

Shropshire Football Final ‘Runners Up’

It’s a very proud day at Ruyton today as we celebrate the achievements of our U11 Football Team 2017-18, who are our third team in three years to make the Shropshire Schools Finals. The squad of 8 children from Year 4, 5 and 6 finished runners-up after a nail-biting match against Longden Primary (a Year 6 team) with a 5-3 result.

Team Captain Will T excelled with his football skills, scoring two supreme goals  whilst Billy finished a great corner and found the back of the net. Jack H maintained focus and determination in goal – the pressure was on and Jack worked well with his dream-team of Max and Rory in defence. Will G, Oli and Alfie all worked hard in midfield, creating opportunities and keeping up the energy to constantly tackle Longden.

We couldn’t be prouder of the boys for the effort, sportsmanship and determination they showed on the day. A HUGE thank you to the parents and families who had their own work-out on the sideline too – Ruyton cheers took over TNS Stadium!

Thank you for such a fantastic day – Miss Whit 🙂
