Hedgehog class had great fun on Tuesday afternoon cooking some dandelion fritters. They all chose and picked their own dandelion to be cooked and made a batter. They then carefully put their dandelion head into the pan and we covered them in the batter. They were extra tasty with a little syrup on top! Not everyone enjoyed theirs but they were all superstars for trying them! The children all know that they shouldn’t pick and eat flowers unless an adult has said that it is ok.

Doubling!
Have a look at the fantastic work that the Reception children were doing this morning on doubling numbers! One group were busy finding number doubles using the pom-poms and the other group were finding number doubles using a mirror!
Charley’s fitness fundraiser!
We are really proud to share our support for Charley, Year 2, who has taken it upon herself to complete a triathlon to raise funds for a charity of her choice. It’s inspiring to see one of our pupils choose to take on such tough challenges.
She has around 6 weeks to finish her training for this brilliant event.I’ve no doubt Dragonfly Class (and the grown-ups!) will be eager to help Charley train for her run during our fitness PE sessions too.
Good luck Charley – we look forward to hearing more about your training updates.

Thank you.
Forest School
Hedgehog Class had a fantastic time up at forest school yesterday afternoon. They all wrote their names on wooden labels and found a bud to tie it to. We’ll keep checking the buds that they chose every week to see how they grow.
Well done James!
A massive ‘well done’ to James in Hedgehog Class for his brilliant fundraising last weekend.
James set himself a challenge to do a 6 mile bike ride to raise money for Comic Relief. He chose 6 miles because he is 6 years old. That is a long way for most grown ups, never mind someone so young!
Measuring
Over the last few weeks, Hedgehog Class have been really busy learning to measure in a variety of ways! During the first week back, they learnt to measure the length or height of objects using a ruler. Last week they learnt to measure mass and weight using balance scales and this week they are learning about capacity and volume. They’re doing a super job and we are all so proud of them!
Superheroes!
Hedgehog Class are having a lovely day dressed up as superheroes to raise money for Comic Relief. Thank you to everyone for your donations!
