Miss Horton
This is a strange time and way to be introducing a new staff member, but now that Mrs Farmer has started her maternity leave Miss Horton has taken over her role in Hedgehog Class. Miss Horton has written a little update so that the children can get to know her a little better and has included a photograph. I would be grateful if parents could share this with their children.

Prayers for our School Community
Rev. Hannah Lins has sent this prayer to all the families and staff at Ruyton School. It is a beautiful prayer and she was happy that we share it with all of you on our website.
Notice of Closure During Easter Holidays
As you are aware, today, 3rd April is the last day of term. Ruyton School will not be open during the Easter break. We would like to thank all of our school community for how they have calmly continued their good work over the last few weeks; it has been a strange situation, however we have tried to give the pupils some continuity via the school website to post work that can be completed at home.

Internet Safety
Good afternoon all!
We are very aware that the children will possibly be spending more time on the internet than usual at the moment for various reasons. E-Safety is a high priority in school and we regularly speak to the children about keeping safe on the internet. The DFE have put together a list of websites to help parents and carers keep their children safe online. They are as follows:
- Internet matters – for support for parents and carers to keep their children safe online
- London Grid for Learning – for support for parents and carers to keep their children safe online
- Net-aware – for support for parents and careers from the NSPCC
- Parent info – for support for parents and carers to keep their children safe online
- Thinkuknow – for advice from the National Crime Agency to stay safe online
- UK Safer Internet Centre – advice for parents and carers
Feel free to have a look at any of these to support you at home and please remind your children to stay safe online!
D & T
Year 1 have been busy researching vehicles and axles this term. After designing the vehicles that we were going to make, we collected all of the resources that we thought we might need. We carefully measured and cut the materials to the sizes that we needed and joined all of the different parts together. Some of us found it really tricky to get the axle and wheels just right so that they turned!
