VE Day Celebrations Homework
To mark the 80th Anniversary of V.E. Day in May, the village will be holding a commemorative event on Monday 5th May. As a school, we are hoping to share some project work by the children around what World War 2 meant to their family and/or community.
As such, during the Easter holidays we would like you to complete a homework activity about this. This could be about a member of your family and the part they played in WW2, or some events that happened around where you live. You can present this however you like, but it does need to be in a format that can be displayed for all the village to see on the 5th May.
Owls DT – BIRD HIDES
In DT this term, Owls have been tasked with making 3-D structures that are functional, appealing and fit for purpose (bird hides). They have taken to this excellently and we’re excited to see how they turn out!

Easter Gardens
Today we continued to our exploration of the Easter story to answer the big question ‘Why do Christians put a cross in an Easter garden?’ We created our own Easter gardens, talking about the representation of each part and how this helps Christians to remember what happened at the very first Easter.
We were very proud of our gardens when we had finished.
The Continents and Oceans
We have been learning the names of the continents and oceans in Hedgehogs. To learn these, we have been using two songs that we really enjoy singing! Please find below links to these songs so we can share our learning with you at home!
