A huge congratulations to all our amazing children who took part in the Shrewsbury half marathon on Saturday. You ran, you laughed, you smiled: you were an inspiration to us all! We couldn’t be prouder of each and everyone of you. Thank you to all the families too for their support on the day too 🙌
Earth Day is an event that takes place every year on 22nd April. It is celebrated around the world and is a day to help people think about our planet and how we can help look after it.
Today we talked about how important it is to look after our planet and thought of different ways we can protect the Earth. We had some brilliant ideas, from using reusable water bottles to planting more flowers in our gardens!

Shrewsbury Half Marathon
Good luck to all our runners (35 of you!) who are attending the Shrewsbury Half Marathon tomorrow morning. Have a great time and we look forward to hearing how you all got on.

Hello Rabbits Class, I hope you’ve had a brilliant Easter holidays and that you are ready and raring to come back to school. I loved hearing all the things you got up to in the holidays today.
Our topic this term is ‘Beside the Seaside’. Click on the link below to find out about all the things we will be learning about this term.
Here is our timetable for the Summer term. We will have PE on Wednesdays and Fridays so please come to school in PE kit on those days. On Fridays we will be going swimming, so you need to come to school with your swimming kit in a bag. Year 1s you will be going to Forest School on a Tuesday afternoon so will need to come to school in your Forest School clothes on Tuesdays.

It’s finally the Easter Holidays! We had great fun today with our annual Easter Egg Hunt – check out the class pages for more photographs!
Today we said a huge well done to our amazing Year 6s who had a very successful trip to Arthog this week. We’ll report more about it soon, but you made us very proud. You can also see below to find out the winner of the Friends’ Easter Egg competition!

Golden Book Awards
There has clearly been lots of great classwork going on in school this term as the Golden Book awards gave been coming in thick and fast… these are awards for class work: each class has a different target e.g. Rabbits need to collect 20 awards to get in the Golden Book, whilst Owls need to earn 40!

Swimming Awards
Congratulations to Nancy for her swimming award, but also Evan and Elsie for completing a level on their Rookie Lifeguard course!
Easter Egg Raffle
We were excited to draw the winner of the Easter Raffle (hosted by the Friends). A whopping £94 has been raised so far!
Mwaita chose the winner of the bunny and Easter Egg… congratulations to Freddie! We look forward to hearing what name you chose.

This term in Rabbits we are designing and making our own puppets. The past few weeks we have been practising our sewing in preparation for making our puppets. The sewing has required a lot of patience and perseverance, the children have worked really hard to improve their sewing skills – well done Rabbits!
It’s just one week until our Easter break and there is LOTS going on in school.
Firstly, thank you to all our parents / carers who joined us for parents meetings this week; it’s great to have everyone back in the school building and celebrating our children.
In our assembly we also took the opportunity to say ‘good luck’ to all the children who have entered the Clive School Cross Country event tomorrow (Saturday) morning. Good luck team!
Furthermore, our Year 6s heading off to Arthog next week – we hope you all have a brilliant time!

We are continuing our work on Judaism this half term. Over the past few weeks we have been learning about Hanukkah and how Jewish people celebrate the festival. We made our own dreidels from a paper net and played a dreidel game following the rules carefully – we had lots of fun!
Rabbits class would like to wish their mummies a very Happy Mother’s Day. We hope your day is as special as you are. Here are all the reasons we love you…
