I think you will agree these Egyptian landscapes, created by a group of children in Owls this afternoon, are just fantastic… they were rightfully proud too!

It looks like they’re having the best time and the concert hasn’t even begun..! Best of luck to all our Young Voices children tonight!
A great first full week back for all classes this week – the new topics are well underway in each class and we’re well and truly back in the swing of learning. A number of KS2 children are finishing off their week in style today too as they party away at Young Voices in Birmingham! What a fun way to spend a Friday night 🥳

Dance Medals
A huge congratulations to Lexie and Aoife who have recently achieved these medals for the dance group they are in. Thank your for sharing, we were all very proud of you, keep it up both of you!
Super Swimmer
Aoife hasn’t just been using her moves for dancing, but for swimming too! Aoife has earned her next level swimming award for working on her 5 metres head first sculling action. Keep going Aoife, that’s brilliant!
Finally, we send our happy birthday wishes to Betsy and Seren this weekend 🤗
Welcome back to our new school term; we have had a brilliant first few days back in school sharing our Christmas highlights and getting back to a bit of normality. There has been much laughter in class this week! We’re also delighted to have been joined by a new member of Owls , Ellie, who everyone has helped settle in brilliantly.
We have an action-packed Spring Term ahead. Here is this term’s overview of what we will be learning:
I think you will agree there are some fascinating lessons coming up. We will also be enjoying a full day Ancient Egyptian workshop (with VR headsets!) whilst the Year 6 squad will also have Arthog to look forward to at the end of this term plus sports trips, Young Voices and more!
Here is our weekly timetable – there are no changes to music or PE days this term. Some children can find this useful to have printed at home and on display:

We had an absolute BALL on Tuesday (13th December) as Shropshire Music Service Band visited and performed for the whole school! They played a string of hits: Sweet Caroline, We Will Rock You and Eye of the Tiger to name a few (the staff enjoyed it as much as the children!) They also taught us about each of the instruments they were playing. We had a great time!
A huge thank you to the Friends of Ruyton for raising the money to fund our trip to Theatre Severn for the Christmas pantomime this week. We had a brilliant time with LOTS of laughter, singing and dancing! Aoife even made it on to stage!
We continue to be very grateful to the Friends for making occasions like this happen for all of our children.
We had a fabulous party afternoon! Fancy dress musical statues has given us some gems of photography!
