Dragonfly Class Tuesday 5th May
Good morning everyone!
Some of you may be interested in another special event happening this week – it is Deaf Awareness Week. I’ve learned a little bit of sign language but I wonder if it would be a good opportunity for us all to research the British Sign Language Alphabet and gain an important life skill during lockdown… let me know how you get on! There are lots of videos and websites out there to teach yourself.

As a reminder, VE Day celebrations are also happening on Friday 8th May this week. Keep learning about the importance of this day – you could check out these links below to get you started:

Other ideas for Tuesday:
- National Walking Month! How many steps can you walk in your hour today?
- TT Rockstars: The Inter House Tournament Round 5/5 begins! Play ‘Battle’ to earn your team points.
- Science: Many of you carried out your living things investigation around your gardens / homes last week. Some of you even explored microhabitats (special places where little creatures might live, tiny homes and places where everything is right for them, for example, just the right amount of dampness, light and food.)
Today we’re going to think about the seven characteristics of living things. Look at the links below to learn about the seven things living things do:
Living Things information & poem
Task: I’d like you to produce a poster this week to show the seven processes of living things or even just pick one and do it in detail. Pictures and colour would be lovely! You might even include some of the vocabulary or phrases from the poem.
There are lots of activities above – remember, you don’t have to do them all and may prefer to do them over the course of your week.
Enjoy!
Miss Whit 🙂
Move over Mary Berry…. Hannah’s arrived!
Hannah has been busy baking these delicious strawberry cakes! Oh Han I’m hungry just looking at these…! You’ve inspired me to get baking 🙂
Izzy’s latest projects – plus Willow!
Izzy has sent us an array of fabulous activities to show what she’s been up to and to share with her friends. She has made an animal scrapbook, a wormery and a lovely piece of art based on the creation project. Thank you so much for sharing Izzy – I look forward to seeing these “up close” so please keep them safe!
And of course, I am delighted to receive MORE PUPPY PHOTOS! Willow is just gorgeous – you look like you’re doing a great job with lead training too!
