Class Dragonflies News
13.12.22 Dragonfly Class DT – packaging
Dragonfly Class have worked very hard to evaluate, design and make their own packaging in DT this term. This week, we finished them and filled them with treats to take home for Christmas. The recipe for the homemade truffles was adapted from Good Food – link below. We used milk chocolate and left out the butter. Hope you enjoyed them!

Shropshire Music Service – the band!
We had an absolute BALL on Tuesday (13th December) as Shropshire Music Service Band visited and performed for the whole school! They played a string of hits: Sweet Caroline, We Will Rock You and Eye of the Tiger to name a few (the staff enjoyed it as much as the children!) They also taught us about each of the instruments they were playing. We had a great time!
Christmas Panto
A huge thank you to the Friends of Ruyton for raising the money to fund our trip to Theatre Severn for the Christmas pantomime this week. We had a brilliant time with LOTS of laughter, singing and dancing! Aoife even made it on to stage!
We continue to be very grateful to the Friends for making occasions like this happen for all of our children.
Children in Need Total!
On Friday 18th November we had a SPOTacular day raising money for Children in Need. Everyone looked brilliant in their non-uniform / spotty outfits whilst we all enjoyed the scrumptious bakes that came in for our Bake Sale.
Thank you to EVERYONE who donated (cakes or money!) – we are thrilled to announce that we raised a whopping £220-54! Well done to the Fun & Games School Council for organising such a great event.
Oswestry Library
Hedgehog Class had a fantastic time at Oswestry Library today so we just wanted to let you know about some of the great resources and activities that they have available. The library has a great selection of books, CDs and DVDs available. As a member, you can also get access to over 7000 e-Magazines and e-Newspapers. They also offer free computer access and WiFi. Membership is free and you can join either online or in the library when you visit.
The library has a lovely children’s area which is well resourced and welcoming. A lot of the children have said today that this was their favourite part of the trip! All of the children have come home with membership forms today however, membership forms can also be filled in online too.
