Multi-sports Festival 🏃🏸
A group of Year 2 and Year 3 children had a fantastic time at The Corbet School this morning! They attended a multi-sport festival run by pupils from Corbet. They had lots of fun and completed a range of different activities – from relay running to the egg and spoon. Take a look at them in action…
Dragonflies – Homework and spelling update
Hi Dragonflies!
From next week, new homework will be given out on Wednesdays. This means it is even more important that homework is handed in, in homework books on Wednesday so that children have their books with them to stick their new homework in.
Homework this term will be spellings, which will also be tested on Wednesday from now on, and a times tables sheet.
Please can we also ask that children are reading at home, and that an adult is signing their reading record three times a week (a signature is all that is necessary from the adult).
Thank you all for your support!
Have a lovely weekend,
Miss Lloyd-Jones and Mrs Hollis
World Earth Day 2023 🌎
Earth Day is an event that takes place every year on 22nd April. It is celebrated around the world and is a day to help people think about our planet and how we can help look after it.
Today we talked about how important it is to look after our planet and thought of different ways we can protect the Earth. We had some brilliant ideas, from using reusable water bottles to planting more flowers in our gardens!
