Artwork inspired by ‘The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse’
During Children’s Mental Health Week 2024 we explored what mental wellbeing means and reflected on the way the characters in the book look after their own wellbeing. We thought about what makes us and our peers special, and how this can promote our positive wellbeing. We created our own sketches inspired by Charlie’s beautiful illustrations.

It’s been a wonderful half term getting to know you all!
I apologise for the delay, but our timetable has changed slightly from last term with PE now on Monday and Tuesdays.
Please catch me on the gate if you have any queries or questions.

A day at ‘The British Ironworks Centre’
Rabbit and Hedgehog Class had a fantastic day at ‘The British Ironworks Centre’. We explored the variety of trails there are and enjoyed looking at the sculptures and thinking about how they were made and what they were made from. We were all very interested in the ‘Extinction Trail’ and learning about how and why animals become extinct. The children were fantastic representatives for the school and impressed the adults on the trip with their knowledge of animal diets and locating where the animals lived!

Science – Materials
In Science we are learning about materials. Year Ones have been naming materials and describing some of their properties. Year Twos have been looking at materials and their uses, they thought about how the materials properties link to their uses. There were lots of brilliant scientific conversations going on – great work Rabbits!
