Hello Rabbits Class, I hope you’ve had a brilliant Christmas and that you are ready and raring to come back to school. I can’t wait to hear about all the things you got up to in the Christmas holidays.
Our topic this term is ‘Amazing Africa’. Click on the link below to find out about all the things we will be learning about this term.
Rabbits Class Topic Overview Spring 2023
Here is our timetable for the Spring term. We will have PE on Tuesdays and Thursdays so please come to school in PE kit on those days. Year 1s you will be going to Forest School on a Tuesday afternoon so will need to come to school in your Forest School clothes.
Rabbits must have all been very good this year because we all got to meet Father Christmas AND he gave us a present. What a magical afternoon!
We had a very delicious Christmas dinner on Wednesday! We enjoyed pulling our crackers we made (a big thankyou to the Friends for supplying everything to make them).
Â
We had a wonderful day at Park Hall Farm. We spent some time with the rabbits, we looked after a shetland pony and we fed the sheep, goats and alpacas! Our highlight of the day was the pig racing!!
Today is the first day of December. Elvis our elf delivered our advent calendar to school this morning. At home I would like you to try and complete the kindness advent calendar. There is a task everyday for you to try and complete. I would love to see some pictures or hear about all the ways you have shown kindness in the run up to Christmas.
Spellings
Try and write the spelling at least three times on the line. Year 2s try and practise your joined writing just like we have been practising in school.
Homework is due in next Wednesday (7.11.22) and we will also do a spelling test too.
In science we have been learning all about the different seasons. This week we went on a walk around school to find signs of Autumn. We were starting to see some signs of it becoming Winter too! We had lots of fun!
Our nativity play is not far away so for your homework this week I would like you to practise the songs and actions. The songs are on youtube if you search for ‘Wriggly Nativity’ or follow this link: Wriggly Nativity Playlist

Today in Rabbits Class we have spent some time talking about Remembrance day and the reasons why we have a two minutes silence. The children took a lot of time, care and effort creating their collage poppies as a sign of respect and support for the Armed Forces.
