EFL Cup – Montgomery Meadow Football

Our football team had a great session out today where they participated in the STFC EFL Cup. They managed to keep very close score-lines on the day, drawing 1-1 with Apley Wood but losing 1-0 to West Felton and 3-1 to St Giles. The boys showed brilliant team spirit and did us proud. A special congratulations to Jackson for his exemplary sportsmanship, Andreas for his determination in goal and also Jamie for his skilful play and for scoring two goals.

Thank you to Jonny and the team at STFC for hosting such a great event!

Would you want the Cross to be moved? Owl Class investigates!

This is question has come up recently in local news groups and Parish Council meetings. As part of our Local History Study, Owl Class visited the site on Friday afternoon and also studied the Parish Council Meeting notes in Guided Reading. We then looked into the history of the Cross before coming to our own conclusions about the key question.
