We have had a busy week in Dragonflies this week! With arts week in full swing we have had the chance to have a go at lot’s of different Mexican themed arts. To start our week off on Monday we had the opportunity to have a go at Mexican dance. We learnt the Mexican hat dance where Miss Hindley was extremely impressed with their Dance moves! Throughout the week we have been creating traditional Mexican pattern’s through the technique of Batik, which requires us to draw a pattern on to material using wax and then paint our design with fabric paint. We have had a go at making Freida Kahlo Piñata’s and flower crowns. We have also experimented with clay to make traditional Mexican sun faces and finally we have LOVED making Ojos de Dios ( God’s eyes) out of sticks and weaving wool, we found this therapeutic! Well done Dragonflies you have worked hard this week!
